Diving among Nurse sharks in Cancun

Unfortunately, in my life diving experience in Cancun i have only come across one type of shark. This is the nurse shark. It is a true beauty and there is nothing as coming close to these fellow friends. Their average size is 10 feet.
Nurse shark are not a threat to divers since they are bottom dwellers and normally stay put under the reef. It’s quite a challenge to find one, actually. They are creatures of the night so in the day they stay put, or swim occasionally around the reef.
Their diet consists primarily of crustaceans like shrimps, sea urchins, lobsters, molluscs, and other fish, particularly stingrays.
